Only americans could come up with the concept of “the best country in the world”. There is no such thing. All country are different, many are wonderfull, they cannot be ranked. America should not strive to be better than other country, it should only try to be the best it can.

i didn’t use “economy” untill you brought it up actually you talked about “power” once again Russia can wipe you off the face of the earth with nukes, other nations can cripple you with debt that you owe them, and a trade embargo enforced on the US , you would quickly see skyrocketing oil prices, industy would drop next to nothing, your technological level would drop faster that you could recover from it, you’d be stuck in the 40’s with more people and less jobs

Look, the US will one day decline as a superpower just as all superpowers have historically declined. However even if China does surpass us someday the United States is going to be a major world player long after your Canadian loser ass is dead, buried and forgotten. You and the rest of your ilk are just going to have to come to terms with that.
If you want to get a glimpse of how ‘free’ the USA is, just experience the TSA in America, then board a flight to almost any other country in the world including China or Russia. Their laid back nature reminds me of an era when America was free. So sad.
If I had to lived in Canada, Australia or a European country. I TOO would be frustrated by how the US perpetually dominates in so many areas. I TOO would be hoping for America’s demise as a superpower and I TOO would be cheering a youtube video of empty platitudes in order to drown my sorrows of how irretrievably inferior my own nation is in comparison to the US.

4) A disproportional amount of advances in science & medicine come from the US.

6) Americans have won more Nobel Prizes than any other nation by far.

Again I’m not doubting that foreigners own businesses in the US just as we own businesses abroad. However you claimed that our ecomomy is completely propped up by foreign investments. That’s simply not the case. On the contrary it’s the US that’s an engine for the global economy.
no it’s actually about 1/2 the debt that is owed to other country’s, not to mention how many buisnesses like, sony , honda etc are all foriegn owned, the amount of oil you need to import, as well as high tech components, and job outsourcing, and again for ‘powerfull’ russia is able to nuke you off the earth just as easy as you can do to them (and half the rest of us) it’s not just your economy reliant on others it’s your lifestyle and even survival at this point

Um…no, the vast majority of US debt we owe to ourselves, to US financial institutions. Foreign investment helps our busineses just like it helps businesses in every country but to say our economy is completely propped up by foreign investments is laughable.

China had a 1.1% deficit, (equal to about 7.2 billion USD) in 2011. The USA is very quickly losing its place as the most powerful country. Hell its getting to that point where even India will out strip them as a super power. USA has allies and a shit ton of nukes. China has a shit ton of resources and man power. India has a highly educated population with huge expendation towards the sciences. America needs to lose the Ego to become great again.
