“178th in infant mortality.” That is just not true at all. Maybe on a descending scale, as in we have the 178th highest mortality rate. We do have an embarrassingly high rate for such a civilized nation at 34th. But if we were really at 178 then that would mean at least half of africa would have better infant rates than us…

I wouldn’t say they were the only factor, but they were a gigantic factor still. The battle of Yorktown which effectively ended the war was fought with a large number of French land troops and the strategy was one of a French general. And let’s not forget the French navy.

Many of the Americans I’ve met believe that America is the best country in the world, that Americans are the best people in the world, and that everyone from every other country wants, and NEEDS, to be like them. They have this inherent assumption that if it’s different from them, then it’s wrong and uncivilized. This is whats wrong with this country. Below me are people arguing over who is at fault, instead of discussing how we can get a government and president that WORK FOR US to make this country great again. Every one sits here and blames the presidents for the messed up country we live in, but no one ever stops to think that we have the power to make things right, we have the power to make our congress listen, we just have to want to make a change. We have to work together, not against each other.
I agree with you on everything but cutting military spending. I know they spend too much money on the defense dept, but if we have a weak military, we are more open to attacks. Just my opinion. If we cut anything, lets cut how much money congress makes. That would free up so much money.
How can you (the main character in the video) claim that morality and caring for your neighbors are important things for the country to have and yet cuss out and unashamedly belittle the audience that’s listening to you? This guy may have the right idea on what a better America looks like but he sure isn’t becoming part of the solution.

That was GREAT Weve drifting from morality to amorality to immorality. Our whole society the Western Christian cultures foundation was built on morality. Our “moral compass” is out of synch. He was harsh in his presentation but he was CONSTRUCTIVELY critical of the country he obviously loves. Most of what he expressed were shortcomings emanating from liberal philosophies. We may still be better than all other countries, but we’re not the America we once were and can be once again.

They shut everything down and that’s no way to have a real conversation.
The real conversation would come after “You hate capitalism” to which I would reply “Yes, I do, it’s absolutely terrible and we can do better.” That becomes a no brainer argument for them though and again there’s no conversation. So at what point do you have a conversation? You can’t. All you can do is call them fucking idiots at a certain point.
I’d love to exterminate them and prove them right about one thing at least.
