Many countries have localised skirmishes with neighbouring nation-states, however the USA creates enemies of nation-states across the globe. The increase of the USA’s missile interception capabilities highlights the increased need for defence – this type of thing isn’t required by most other nation-states. The USA is a target. I guess it all depends on one’s definition of ‘greatest’? Greatness isn’t something tangible that can be measured. Statistics can be skewed to whatever the author wants. And, having people vote for what they think is great is obviously flawed….just look around at the politicians and laws we pick. (“Majority”..an obviously flawed statistic). But that said….if the shit hits the fan, I still wanna be in the USA….not any of the places he named. Maybe that’s the definition of greatness.

We sell permanent residence in this country for $500,000 which also allows gun ownership since 2009 without any extra bells or whistles. Other than the fact that we dish out money we don’t have, along with weapons to groups that use them on us later, and most countries are scared of our nukes, I would use the term “leader” very loosely. Is the United States a military power? Yes. But most of what we do as “peacekeepers” goes through the UN anyway. And in reality, we rely on other countries economies just as much as they rely on ours. I might just have a different idea as to what kind of a “leader”, we should be I guess.
