I’m a “sandgroper”… but have also lived in NSW… Sydney. Which I must say I enjoyed. While in NSW I didn’t have the same “fear” of Police as I do here in WA. Not fear for my safelty but simply the fear of being pulled over and booked for something I didn’t do, just because the cop needed to fill a quota. Also the klnowledge that in an emergency the cops would not rock up till the crooks had gone, because the cops here are afraid of the crooks, doesn’t give you any confidense in them.
Sure we have our special forces here that train hard and do a fine job catching the “bad” criminals. But I know, from the “horses” mouth, that the everyday constable will not place him or herself in danger to keep the public safe, now if that is NOT what a cop is about I am all confused. Too many people get a job as a cop because it’s a “steady” income. The only good cop is one who takes the job up because him or her wants to protect the innocent and uphold law and order.

WA Police have a hard fucken job. What about those fucks that paralyzed that cop in Joondalup and walked out of court laughing. It is an entire police culture. Your statistics would mean there were only 2 currupt police officers. It is clear that WA police have a significant element of corruption within them. You cannot justify that.

i bet most people dont realise that police use very obvious strategies in propaganda. this is mainly used to deter people from crime(which is good) out of fear, but unfortunately is used in covering up their mistakes(not very good at all) at an almost scary level. it can be seen in media, ‘official’ reports and have an impact on public opinion which they must maintain at all costs.
