I’ve watched all three of the Weare episodes and I’m deeply concerned about what I’ve seen (all the way out here in Oakland!), because the Weare PD. is a microcosm of all the small PDs throughout the nation.
Many younger folks may not realize that at one time, not THAT long ago, local police did not take kindly to federalis acting like kingfish in their jurisdictions.
“9-11” + billions of dollars has changed that, and in the process a very important mechanism of freedom has been lost.
Fyi – I should add that I am one of the “ten thousand” who has taken the “free-state” pledge. That’s why I’ve taken such an interest in the Ridley Reports and other goings ons in NH’s “leaderless” (smile)liberty movement.
I’m not sure I understood where the charge of possession stemmed from, but if it was from the property that they took “without receipt”, that fact alone could make the charges invalid, I’d imagine. In any case, I wish the young man due process.

My understanding is that they claim to have found a crumb in the impounded vehicle, and a leaf in a bag within the vehicle, although to my knowledge, no warrant has yet been produced. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway…

you guys are the biggest bunch of fucking morons. all you do is read this book by the cover i have worked with the weare police for 3 straight year 9 hours a day 5 days a week the weare police department has help out ALOT of people in this town and if yoy have forgtten all the huge drug busts to help our town stay clean, I really would like to thank them they all work 80+ hours a week and thats not to be bothered by idiots making faulse accusasions.
oh and another thing the first officer nick you talked to was a soilder in iraq as well as kenny. so i would assume that some one such as your selfs would respect that but i guess not. oh don’t know them by their first name? well probabaly from assuming that every small department is corupt. i would have to say that out of all the police department i have worked with and i have worked with alot the Weare police department is the most experienced and devoted department I have ever seen.
