UC Berkeley Police Brutality Against Peaceful Students 1 of 3 (Attack begins at 2:50)

On March 3, 2011 students at the UC Berkeley campus peacefully gather outside Wheeler Hall to protest the impending fee hikes of up to 60% percent as well as cuts to many vital and valuable programs. As you can see in the beginning of the video, ALL students are completely peaceful: no one is fighting with the police, no one is destroying anything or behaving unlawfully in any way. Then, at the request of UC Police, riot police from neighboring cities arrives. Upon their arrival and WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER they immediately begin to beat EVERYONE IN SIGHT INDISCRIMINATELY with batons. At the same time UC Police officers pepper spray EVERYONE IN SIGHT, aiming directly for the eyes. Riot police is hitting students with full force on the head, neck, face, shoulders, and in the stomach. They do not care if you are a student organizer or a bystander simply watching the event. I was a bystander, on my way to my meditation class. I continued filming while being beaten and pepper sprayed. The attack begins at 2:50
