Too much missing info to have an opinion. Was she acting as a LEO or is this a personal issue? What was the nature of detectives encounter with the person outside of the hotel? Detaining an uncooperative person is NEVER pretty. Well maybe on Hawaii Five-O….

No matter what info is missing or if it’s personal, a person that has been an LEO for over 16 years should not chase and kick someones ass that is obviosly scared and running away from them. In the video you OBVIOUSLY see that she is NOT detaining, she is beating her ass. She identified herself as an officer. Also, if you had listened to the vid you would hear that THE OFFICER, NOT THE VICTIM has been charged with the assault. FUCK U if UR A COP.
@MrHandy4u While it’s certainly just my opinion, I would like to know more of the story. I know there’s more. The woman identified in the video may be just as the O.P. says, “an innocent victim”. But chances are that is not the case. At least for me, the factors leading up to this confrontation are equally as important as the video clip itself. Addtionally I found no record of a criminal complaint against the detective after just a quick search.
I have no idea what type of search you conducted, but I just did a Maryland Case Search on the office and accually found 4 criminal cases where this officer is a defendent as well as several civil case against the same office where it seems she’s being sued for one reason or the other. Also, what more would you need to see other than an officer that DID NOT DETAIN in the video, she KICKED ASS and ran out. I guess it’s what officers are suppose to do in your eyes? Charges r on the cop buddy!
@EliH143 No matter what happened leading up to this, NO ONE should act like this Officer did. An Officer is held to a higher standard due to their training and background. This type of behavior is in no way shape or form tolerated from civilians and it sure as heck is not acceptable from a 16 year Detective. I would never even question what happened when you see this type of behavior. This officer would empty her gun on a suspect after knowing she had disabled them with the first bullet.
@MrHandy4u The video is pretty damning. I still always like to know the “rest of the story”. While this is far from any kind of a landmark example, often these video’s are only a piece of a puzzle. Harsh judgments wind up being drawn without consideration for all of the facts. ( I don’t really think the “facts” would change the outcome of any investigation into woman’s actions).The author at least listed the officer’s name which allowed for interested viewers to search for the answers.
@MrHandy4u I only googled it. fast but not complete by any measure. “I guess it’s what officers are suppose to do in your eyes…” The only statement of opinion I gave was that detaining folks is rarely pretty. Beyond that I was looking for answers and not registering an opinion. I could reach and create some scenarios where Parker’s actions might be justified. I doubt any of those scenarios would be anywhere close to what really happened here. What was the outcome of the criminal cases?
