RAW, ZOOMED & SLOW MOTION – Two police officers in Prince George’s County, MD, face disciplinary action following a probe into allegations of police brutality. “He doesn’t say a word to the officers, they don’t give him any orders,” said attorney Christopher Griffiths, “and you can see what they do.” Griffiths claimed his client, University of Maryland student John McKenna, 22, was beaten by officers following a men’s basketball game between Duke and Maryland on March 3. Thousands of students poured into the streets in College Park to celebrate Maryland’s victory. Some set fires, and police were called in to restore order. Twenty-three students, including McKenna and 20-year-old Ben Donat, were arrested. McKenna and Donat were charged with assaulting mounted officers, but video tells a different story. “The charging documents are a complete fabrication,” Griffiths said. “And they’re fabricated for a specific purpose. They’re fabricated to cover up the police misconduct.” Those charges have now been dropped. The Prince George’s County’s police chief initially defended his officer’s handling of the melee, but has changed his tune. “I saw the tape. I am outraged. I’m disappointed,” said Chief Roberto Hylton. Hylton said one of the officers has been identified and will be immediately suspended. Sooner or later the public is gonna be pushed too far and some cops are gonna get handled… Just look art other countries… If these cowardly, loser cops can’t handle a little job stress with more professionalism they need to find a new career. We need higher standards when recruiting police officers… Quit hiring these losers that hardly made it out of high school and have no other job outlets.

@7amsays lol I guess on some level, one could feel sorry for them. Can you imagine having a life-long fellowship with a bunch of guys who were all cops? Police officers have a higher rate of alcoholism and domestic abuse than does the general population; along with paranoia, megalomania, repressed homosexuality, false pride, a misguided idea of justice, and lots and lots of other fun stuff. Rather than cuff a suspect, they often will administer torture right on the spot and get away with it.
Police abuse of force is one of the factors which contributed to the creation of the Bloods and Crips. They were made right here in America. You dont de-escalate a situation by escalating the situation.

If there is a fight between French and country people in a bar, there is no war declaration, but when a president (usually a rich person or sponsored by rich people) says lets go to war the Military does, when there is a protest are the cops on your side or on the other side???

Suspended? That’s all they get? Why aren’t they treated the same as everyone else.  What they did was assault. Police brutality is not only just as bad any other type of brutality, it’s even worse. These people are supposed to protect us and not endanger us. I have no problem with police in general and I respect them for what they do but this is just beyond acceptable. They need to be prosecuted in a court of law.
