This is why people make the laws strict to crack down on criminals. So the people you should me mad at are the criminals who ruin it for everybody else.

The Founding Father’s intended guns for use for normal purposes (hunting, self defense…) and to combat a government gone wrong. It was not intended to give a free pass for anyone at all to have a gun. Now don’t get me wrong, I am completely pro-gun (I own five for heaven’s sake), but the 2nd amendment was meant to protect normal, law abiding citizens, not crims.

If you don’t have anything that would disqualify you from owning a handgun (felony conviction, mental problems, dishonorable discharge from military…) then you can get an auto. Trust me, I have plenty of friends who have gotten them without trouble. I don’t really think that the founding fathers would have had too much of a concern with a bit of paperwork, now if they were banned…
