Because its not worth my time and effort making a complaint, writing down shit, going to court I wasn’t harmed much n was only detained for like 1 minute.

Im no lawyer, but from what i understand you filming that incident was legal, because its a public place, however you were filming something that the police could use for evidence.
the police may legally seize that evidence, however you are entitled to the phone at the end.
So what the police could have done and ideally should have done, is let you finish filming, then sieze the phone as evidence of that arrest.
