Well, since the money had already been set aside for this bill, those items vetoed by President Clinton created a surplus. Just before leaving office, the challenge to the line item veto made its way to the Supreme Court. Just after Bush took office, the Supreme Court ruled, I believe incorrectly, that the line item veto was unconstitutional.
So, since the Bills this applied to were already signed into law, all the pork was now part of the law and the surplus disappeared. Then the left, who brought the suit, starting pointing fingers at Bush for “losing” the surplus.
Glenn Beck does not say things fir the money or ratings. He says things that are unpopular. So does Alex Jones, except Jones is a complete moron! Who in there right mind thinks that America blew up the WTC? I am all about free speech, so let him do his thing. There is a reason Beck is so popular, because he is telling the truth!
