Bleeding heart people always take the side of the poor helpless bystander. Do you realize how dangerous it is to be a cop these days. Try and get a ride-along with a local cop, which they do, and see what happens. It will open your eyes on what is going on in your own neighborhoods.

The only thing that caused this woman’s fear was very poorly trained and overly-paranoid police officer.
The police were in the wrong. Just accept it. The truth sucks sometimes.
So with your logic… he followed this person in their car that refused to pull over and when he walks up to the window and sees and old lady, he is just supposed to say “Ohh, it’s and old lady. I am not in any harm here.” That kind of logic can lead to complacency and get you killed. You obviously don’t see how many sweet old ladies are in the news for using/selling meth around here. Read the newspaper once in a while and see what is in the local section. It will hopefully open your eyes.
Again, like I said, my eyes are open. It’s silly and irresponsible for you to assume that I do not read/listen to the news.
Properly trained Police Officers understand that not all people react the same to them and that some of those people may be frightened by them. In the case of a frightened person, that person will most likely not react as quickly or properly as the officer would like.
Also, if the officer had been more observant (part of his duty), he would have seen her struggling.
If we all assumed that the person they were encountering was a potentially violent criminal or, without speaking to them, assumed that they were being dismissive or resistant, we’d all be dead.
I’ve been stopped in C-ville as has others I know. THe cops are TOTAL “Barney F’s!” They HARASS the law abiding citizens yet are afraid to go after real criminals. Did you ever see the video of the guys stealing a tv from Sears in broad daylight?

I love the fact that they dont show the entire video from the patrol car. had the entire thing have been aired you would see that this old lady went through several well lit areas that would have been safe to stop!!! Back off this Officer!
Calm down kimie, that’s no way to get people to “Back off”. I would like to see the “entire” video too. Where can we see it? According to the US Government, Centerville is 2.8 square miles. The Mayor told me that it is 5 square miles, so it shouldn’t be a long video either way.

I’m aware of that f—–d up town & those stupid cops. Centerville, GA has always had the reputation of being a “Speed-trap” so beware if you go thru there! Hope that asshole cop is off the force now! He was really iching to shoot someone wasn’t he?
Some people trip me out. First of all, city or county law enforcement officers are not allowed to issued tickets for speeds less than 10 miles an hour over the posted speed limit unless it is in a school zone or construction zone. As far as a right to be pulled over in a populated area, you don’t have that right.
I’ve seen the video. Matter of fact, I’ve seen the whole video that shows an investigator chasing the criminal down across a very populated road and placing him in custody.
You are so full of it. The officer did not pull the lady out of the car nor did he slam her to the ground. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t even placed in handcuffs. She was issued citations and released.
What’s even more sad is the fact that the lady lied when she went to court and filed her complaint. She stated the the canine officer used his dog to intimidate her. The canine officer, whom I know personally, did not even get his dog out of the car. As a matter of fact, he didn’t even speak to the lady. He asked the arresting officer what charges he had and even told him to charge her with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle instead of fleeing.
