75 plus cops called to a fake emergency? dose golden know that is a FELONY CRIME to do such a act and as person who has family is law( my father is a animal rights lawyer) the cops can not detain you with proper cause nor can they make you stop filming them as they are a public servant and on public property so if you guys got detained for over 15mins without being charged you can go after DC police fore false imprisonment and unlawful detention…any good video and keep giving them hell.
@ecovegans a few corrections: the cops cannot detain you without proper cause they have to have cause and merit to force you to stay and be questioned so the next time ask them this” i am i under arrest” and repeat it if they say no you can qith 100% legality walk away and they can not Legally do a damn thing…
@ecovegans, I know you mean well but if you don’t really understand what you’re talking about, especially in regards to giving legal advice to activists, perhaps a better option would be to link people to a legal website link instead of offering advice.
@mattnothing1984 will all do respect sir i do you see i have been reading books on law since i was 13 and my father is a Animal rights Lawyer and what i said it not real legal advice is basic common seance its fucking knowing your rights 101( its what every activist should know but many don’t) if i was giving actual legal advice i would have made my previous comments more complex and used the and sited the codes and law that you would need to use in order to fight this act and others..

@markmills8 Pretty much. Hell, I think I’d be lucky if the dispatch sent two. But then they’ll send fifty cops after activists. Seems a shade misplaced. Likewise, the cops’ coming out with automatic weapons for activists is a bit beyond the pale as well.
Automatic rifles against animal rights protestors?? Is this severe intimidation and an attempt to frighten them to stop them??
There must be a lot at stake. What are they so very keen to hide that they resort to automatic rifles on what surely is unarmed people??
I cannot stress how amazing this is.
Think of all the unwanted attention Fortress had. You guys stood your ground well. If you are prepared to give even half this much dedication to the animals then we will really see progress in the campaigns against those who abuse them.
Did the police have a warrant to search the vehicle(s)? Did they refuse to consent to search?
