The guy was drunk and abusive and when the police tried to arrest him he attempted to run away and when they took hold of him he resisted handcuffing, at which point the used reasonable force to make him comply.
He was found guilty by magistrates who are just normal people then he was found not guilty by a judge who for the most part has no clue as to the state of the real world.
Its being blown out of proportion by those who dislike or hate the police.

It was a cowardly act by these three police officers end of. Obviously they didnt realize there were cameras about. Notice one of the officers looking around to see if anyones about then stops when traffic comes by.
