On New Year’s Day, a number of us boarded a cable car in San Francisco to wave signs for the people’s r3VOLution. We paid for our tickets and were allowed to board with the signs. But after we’d gone about a dozen blocks, a MUNI inspector showed up and said we could not display the signs. When Ron Paul supporters refused to give them up, MUNI called the police.
This film of an SFPD officer was taken just after Ron Paul supporters were forced to leave the cable car ride for which they had paid, or else give up their signs.
lol, nice try guys.
Next time keep your hands, feet and signs inside the vehicle at all times. Don’t put graffiti on a public vehicle. Stay calm, don’t call the guy who is doing is job a fascist. Don’t be obnoxious, yelling generally turns voters off.
Keep up the good work, but tone it down a bit.
Next time, tell him about Ron Paul and try to get his vote, instead of getting him upset.
we need to try to get his vote not call him fascist.
So if I understand this right. In this city you are not allowed to have any kind of political or advertisement on the bus/cable car, unless you pay for it? Well, for God sake how is anyone going to get on that bus with a pair of tennis shoes on or any kind of clothing with a logo?
See you all in the FEMA prison camps.
Vote for Ron Paul gain our constitution, but loose all the social programs people have been working on for years. I’m not sure how much Ron Paul can do with a Democrat house and senate (after the next election)
I am not a Ron Paul fanatic, so I guess that makes me a fascist?
(Response to VinnyM116) If you are against free speech, the label “fascist” probably fits, at least as it is used colloquially. If you are for free speech, you may or may not support Ron Paul, but you should at least appreciate the civil liberties part of his message, and not call his supporters “fanatics” for trying to exercise their 1st Amendment rights.
Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech; or against the right of the people to peaceably assemble… Remember that? Stand up for your rights! This is what we are fighting for! This is what REVOLUTIONS are all about! RON PAUL 2008! Don’t Tread On Me! 1776 until Infinity!
I don’t see how it could be a problem if you have paid your fare. However, MUNI owns that cable car, and they have the right to do whatever they want.
Terry you are a complete idiot. fascism??? Please spare us
Free speech does not allow you to break other laws like disrupting traffic. Just in case you don’t realize it…notice how Ron Paul is now worried about getting re-elected to his formerly VERY safe congress seat. You know WHY his re-election is not very much in doubt? Because of people LIKE YOU. Ron Paul does NOT approve of anything you do in his name. You embarrass him. And yourself. Every day of your life.
Ya gotta cut the slandering remarks.
Think Peaceful civil disobedience.
Think Dr’s Paul & Martin Luther King.
Ask yourself, would they do this? No!
Ron Paul is endorsing Chuck Baldwin. This revolution will require that we all become leaders. Ron Paul is just the beginning… he is a true patriot. Where are you? It is time we step up to the plate. Join campaign for liberty! Look for it online.

Isn’t Muni considered private property?
Buying a fare doesn’t give you the right to wave Ron Pual signs on their property.
No, MUNI is a government agency, so their land and vehicles are public property, and Constitutional rights should apply there.
we cant look like and angry mob people ron paul 2012
Busses have permits to advertise?? LOL. Do I need a permit to have a bumpersticker or magnetic sign on my car to advertise? LOL…NO!
I’m going to exercise my freedom of speech and say that girl in jeans and boots had a nice booty.
