The video was screwed up towards the end but it was obvious in this video that most of the media people were either for the surveillance state or were apologists for it and argued against Fred. This tells me that the majority of UK society are nightmarish Orwellian cowards already as they have freely allowed this to happen. As an outsider to the UK your country should be ashamed to even look at the rest of the world. You are an abomination and a cancer that will destroy us all.
If people REALLY knew just how little oversight there is (like in my own city here in Canada( –that these security types claim they’re “professionals” yet focussed probes of their conduct and operations through Freedom of Information show the real story.
Here’s the Truth. You know how they say if you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to worry about?…

USA the next UK. I don’t know. Seems like no matter who is in power they seem they offer security (decrease of freedom and liberty) Those that choose security over liberty deserve neither.
Fairbrass is spot on. It is the worst thing to say something like “Well I haven’t got anything to hide so its okay”. Do people think it’s going to stop at ID cards and DNA databases? Of course not. Its a coordinated effort to bring in a total surveillance society in small steps at a time so nobody looks up from the soap opera and realises it’s going on.
It doesn’t bother me, with all these muppets going on about human rights, they’ll never take things too far. DNA database is a good idea. Criminals can be identified easily and so can people that are found dead or missing. ID cards will help combat illegals and under agers etc. But all the people that go on about invasion of privacy will be the very ones that complain when nothing is done to catch the terrorists that blew up london coz they help get the CCTV removed!

@chimmy62 Please enlighten me! I work in CCTV, I’ve just finshed a shift where I witnessed several unprovoked assaults. Ok, they weren’t detered by CCTV but the people responsible were arrested. There were also a few large fights involving 10-15 people, again who were identified and arrested. Wheres the problem? People who had a good time and went home weren’t affected and the people who were causing the trouble were arrested. You think this is a bad thing??

There was a bank raid with shot guns and get away cars every Sunday when I was a kid in South London, now it never happens here. The bank was even raided twice on one weekend, Saturday failed attempt because Police car drove by, but they came back the following morning with shotguns.

montreal is getting bad also for surveillance cameras everywhere..not as bad as the UK, but i have noticed that there are cameras all over this city..it is getting out of control…just knowing u are probably being watched and tracked..scary
@CMob09 …. you dont need cameras. you need to be able to protect you and your family. you guys over there have had their gun rights taken from you. bad guys have weapons no matter the law. good people have none if the law says no. you are screwed.
