One of my memories from childhood is watching a cop, in uniform, commit perjury. Luckily, he was not believed, but lives could have been ruined.
@Jutt08 Not just that, they can plant anything they want in your car, on your clothes, in your house….. The local idiot cop ran our family off the road when I was a kid, and almost killed us. It was all to give a traffic ticket to someone. My father wanted to know his badge number, so the cop arrested him! Pop got scared that when I started driving, our corrupt sheriff’s department would plant drugs in my car or something, so he just dropped the whole thing, but he was found not guilty.
@Jutt08 Yeah, and the excuse for a judge will same some lame BS like, “Whose word would you take, the cop or the civilian.” I’ve seen some real bona fide loser cops, I mean a chump that thought he was talking to a 13yo girl on-line, but it was an 27yo state agent. Another moron maced and pepper sprayed an entire crowd because he was having trouble with one lady. They aren’t all saints, by any stretch.

The laws in all states need to change to allow all interactions with any law enforcement agent rather local, state, or federal to be recorded on video with audio by civilians. As of now most states will not legally allow the recording, video and / or audio, by a civilian without permission of those being recorded. However, law enforcement can record and all things they want without any civilians permission.
What’s fair for one should be fair for all…especially since they “lose” tapes.
