The driver was indeed belligerent and resisted arrest, but this officer seemed to be bloodthirsty for any slight indignation that would permit him to do everything within his power. He was obviously taking out unrelated anger on her, but did he really have to save it for this poor old woman? You can see where he gets an erection after tasing her (don’t hurt your eyes, there’s not much to make an imprint). Remember that when you sign a ticket, you’re only agreeing to appear in court on a date to be set later, otherwise you have to be taken in and wait until the magistrate has time to see you. So this officer was completely within his right to arrest her, although it’s ultimately his decision to do it, but he was talking about tasing her since he first laid eyes on her. I can only hope that at least something exactly like this happens to his grandmothers and mother.
@gijames198227 My head is about to explode from cognitive dissonance as I just saw him clearly push her, she gripes about him shoving her, and he pulls out a tazer. Why are you depicting a hypothetical scene of a violent woman—cmon man, what she did doesnt equal what he did, peri-fuckin-od. I was going to respond to all your comments but its so draining trying to explain to you that an apple is an apple, youre so stupid youll never realize it nor be able to do anything about it.
@gijames198227 Yes, I need to specifcally be a police office to be an official judge of videos where one human being unnecessarily injures another human being. I think this one’s for all common sense morons across the world. BTW America means I=You, not I=You but We< Authority.
@xis10ce Just because I disagree does not make me stupid. Interesting that I’ve been able to keep this entire debate without attempting to degrade you, typically we see that the less intelligent tend to resort to such behavior because they feel threatened. That’s okay, I will not degrade you. I certainly hope you’re never put in a position to defend lives because I’m certain you don’t have the ability to do so. He did push her AFTER she asked him to arrest her and then began resisting.
@gijames198227 we don’t put the laws in place, you FUCKING IDIOT–unless you live in California. the politicians put laws in place, and they don’t represent more than what they thinK a stereotypical American wants so they can keep getting elected–THAT IS THEIR ONLY PURPOSE. and everytime you break a law, you don’t need to be tased for it–like speeding–like jaywalking–LIKE NOT SIGNING A TICKET. YOU ARE SO GODDAMN STUPID!
@xis10ce So tell me then, if you take your child to the store and tell them that if they are bad they aren’t getting a toy. While at the store they throw a fit and you buy them a toy anyway, what have you taught them. So our police should tell her she is under arrest and then change their minds and let it go? That would teach us that there aren’t any real consequences for our behavior. I assume you teach your children consequences, or at least agree with the concept?
@xis10ce When you’re issued a ticket your are being placed under arrest and then IF YOU SIGN THE TICKET, you are being released on your written promise to pay bond or appear in court. IF YOU DON’T SIGN THE TICKET, you are not being released and are therefore still under arrest. This means you go to jail. PERIOD. Look it up, it’s not true in every state, but in the majority it is. Don’t look in Colorado, you aren’t required to sign there…but I’m the idiot? Maybe you should check facts…
@xis10ce I vote every year and several laws and bills appear on the ballot…even if I don’t make the laws, I help to elect those who do, therefore it’s the same concept…if you don’t like the laws, change your lawmakers…she wasn’t TASED for not signing the ticket, she wasn’t TASED for speeding, she was TASED for resisting arrest. You would be TASED for resisting arrest as well. It’s department policy.
@gijames198227 First of all, I’m not one of these pansy ass modern parents, my kids would never act out in the store or I would beat their fucking ass, that’s how I was raised. And NO! The officer should not change his mind and let her go. It’s his job to decide if an arrest should be made, and if so, then do it. But he gave her time… he let it brew… he wanted to just zap somebody, he took it out ASAP.
@xis10ce again, I go back to the fact that usually the less intelligent resort to degrading people for their opinions, that is why you and I CANNOT have a reasonable and mature debate. You being significantly older than I am should be able to defend your beliefs without doing something as ABSOLUTELY IMMATURE as name calling, come on man really? How old are you anyway?
@gijames198227 obviously I know that, it’s in the video description. at every turn you say something retarded, and I retort with all the answers. it’s not wrong for him to arrest her for not signing the ticket, it’s just wrong (on a level all humans speak) for him to zap her for being a bitch. he did it because he could. STOP ARGUING ISSUES NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT! JUST STOP!!!
@xis10ce How many times do you warn your child before you beat their ass? How many times does it take before they do what you told them to do? If they don’t do what you said, do they know you’re going to beat their ass?
@gijames198227 yeah, SEVERAL LAWS, not the myriad of laws states vote on year-round. and the idea of “resisting arrest” has taken on the vaguest, most inclusive meaning that anything can be resisting. you mean to tell me he couldn’t grab her, put her hands behind her back, and cuff her–like she said–a 72 year old woman? resisting arrest used to mean someone physically trying to fight getting cuffed
@xis10ce regardless, she was warned 4 times, dared him to do it and then a second time repeated it. My 3 year old nephew would have known better. He gave her PLENTY of warning of the consequences of her actions and she made a conscious CHOICE to ignore his warning and he acted in the exact manner he said he would. To avoid being TASED she should have done what she was told (and she was told the same thing SIX times!). No you’re right, she had no part in getting herself TASED at all!
@gijames198227 look at my profile, i’m only a few years YOUNGER than you. degrading you for your opinions is not bad when they’re the kind of beliefs that perpetuate this officer’s behavior–nay, justify it. you and he have the same mindset, which means i can only regard you with the same vehement disgust i regard this officer, a man who violates the rights of Americans who–goddammit–should be the freest people on earth
I don’t believe the concept of whether or not he NEEDED to use his TASER, he probably could have forced her without it, however he DID tell her repeatedly what he planned to do. I personally would expect a police officer to do what they say, it shows integrity. He didn’t lie! He said he was going to TASE her four times, then he did it.
@gijames198227 I don’t need to warn them, you just spank them a few times and they listen to you all the time. It’s a simple principle, people nowadays want to baby their kids, and do baby oogoo gaga talk, and let them run all over them, but you can’t explain to a baby that the stove is hot, you have to smack their hand away when they try to touch it. A good kid is one with structure in their life.
@xis10ce I mean really, tell your kid 4 times that your going to beat their ass, let them dare you to do it and then just ignore them and walk away…what lesson have you taught your kid, regardless of whether a spanking is warranted, if you tell them you will do it and then don’t they learn to disregard the consequences of not heeding your warning. This concept is true at ANY age.
@gijames198227 what??? you don’t believe the concept of whether he needed to use his taser??? that’s the whole point this video is making, that HE DID NOT NEED TO TASE HER. IT’S A TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE TO THE BODY OF AN OLD WOMAN. HE COULD LITERALLY HAVE KILLED HER. THE PUNISHMENT DIDN’T FIT THE CRIME. PLEASE STOP ACTING AS IF I’M NOT SAYING THIS
@gijames198227 and you praise him for doing what he said? is that a special skill or talent or something? you say it, you do it. seems like a no-brainer. can you not tell that he’s stretching it out to see how far she’ll go to provoke him to do it? he gets her out the car, shoves her aside, whips out the taser–and waits… imagine me as an officer who takes his job seriously: i take her out the car, i arrest her, i do paperwork. no waiting in between to tase her.
@xis10ce Look up “Cop turns off security camera while he beats woman to bloody pulp” if you want to see legitimate excessive use of force.
@xis10ce I don’t praise him for doing what he said. I expect a 72 year old woman would know that he planned on doing what he said he would do and she should have done as she was being instructed to avoid him having to do what he said. SHE WAS IN CONTROL THE WHOLE TIME, SHE CHOSE TO IGNORE WARNINGS, therefore it’s obvious she had no regard for how she could have been injured by the TASER. I just think she needs to be given a bit of credit for her part in the incident.
@gijames198227 what are you talking about? i only tell them one time and that is it, there is no second time. that’s called, “people who actually know how to raise kids”. see what i’m saying, you’re mocking a scenario you’ve imagined of me, even though it’s wildly inaccurate. i’ve asked you to stop doing that, this is secondly why you incense me so
@xis10ce I’m sorry that you misunderstood what I said, which is my fault…please replace “you” with “someone” or “people” and then you will understand what I mean. By you I mean a person in a hypothetical situation, simply to understand the concept of teaching people that their actions have consequences. I do not mean you personally as I don’t know you it would be difficult to know your parenting style, I apologize for the confusion.
Do we know what happened to this cop?
She wanted to sign that ticket and he treated her like crap and tazed her. That’s b/s.
