Great concert cut short: A few songs into Two Gallants’ set at Walter’s on Washington in Houston, an officer appeared on stage very near the mic. I then either made sure it was set to video or switched my digital camera to movie mode and hit record. The physical confrontation seemed to begin immediately after that and I quickly moved toward the stage to document the already surreal setting we were all quickly lost in. According to police, the officer asked that the music be turned down, was attacked and used his Taser in self-defense. I find it hard to imagine anyone out of the supposed 140+ in attendance who witnessed the incident would agree things occurred the way the officer described them. I spent the better part of a day in jail because of that crazy cop. Though it should have been the officer and not me behind bars, let us not forget that one ‘bad cop’ doesn’t mean they all are — though there are certainly others. The male/female officers who drove Andrew and me downtown were pretty cool. One guard at the jail in particular had a number of inmates laughing at times and seemed to have a great solution for dealing with the out-of-control fool in cell 2 who flooded the place with toilet water. Were you there? To file a formal complaint I understand it might be best to do so with the Harris Co. DA Public Integrity Division. MORE: htt://livelivemusic.blogspot.com www.musicsaves.net
I’m amazed at the number of times that guy put his hands on that cop; grabbing his shirt. You CAN NOT put your hands on a cop, absolutely not.!
maybe the cop did nothing cuz he was in the wrong?
I doubt that.! Did you notice the officer had a small radio attached to his right upper shoulder..? Did you happen to notice the officer quickly use that radio to call for backup.? when this rowdy, most likely drunken group of kids, who are probably all friends, surrounded and outnumbered him. Perhaps he was keeping his cool until his backup arrived in order to avoid being attacked by this unpredictable array of people. Only a disrespectful thug would put their hands on a cop, lowlife!
pretty sure i saw this same cop in another video being out of control
I saw the officer do nothing out of control.. Nor does the video show the ending of this or the beginning. In other words, the video of this is useless. You find it hard to believe that any of the 140 folks would agree with the cop? Are you kidding? Does anyone ever agree with the cops? I would find it harder to believe that someone agreed with him. But like I said, without a beginning and an end, the video shows basically nothing.
the police run you all… you cant do anything about it.
if this was about “turning off” the show maybe he could have hit the breaker instead of tackling adam
Thanks Houston!
Sad, but damn straight.
Also true.
There is NO AGGRESIVE action taken by the individual creating the video. The officer WALKED by, looked back out of the corner of his eye, extended his arm BACKWARD and PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED the person with the video camera hard enough to disrupt the electronics indicating sufficient G-Force from PHYSICAL CONTACT! If Mr. Blue was any person on the street and did this to Mr. Camera… Mr. Blue would be be charged with ASSAULT. Mr. Blue clearly has the AGGRESSIVE NATURE. Freakin Scary!!
its so funny (while rather not)
– here in alberta pigs take literally 6 months of training… and then they get a gun and badge?
and what kind of grades do they have to get in school like C’s for god sakes.
– and we let these people make judgments on situations there tiny fucking brains cant even comprehend
” oh thank you officer, its a good thing you ticketed me for rolling through while turning right on a red, when its saturday night and a smart cop would be policing something important
Everyone should consider becoming a freeman-on-the-land so the frequencies in dealing with cops can possibly be reduced.
the policer dont run shit they may run the world but they dont run our lives
they run your live if they commit a crime
listen to that fat bitch at the end yell…houston is so white trash, that officer should have pulled out his ar and sprayed the entire crowd
where are you from? sprayed the entire crowd? lol wow what a pathetic thing to say.
Cops are human also and its obvious this cop made a decision that might of not been the best but he is not perfect. Ive had a common situation once at a house party and i was mistreated but instead of resisting i just took his badge number, and i reported his ass for not reading my rights and for hostility cop was suspended for a week.

So if I attack someone it’s ok because I;m only human? We live in a country where police don’t have to follow common law.
With this being made public, indie band’s don’t even think about booking Houston anymore on their tours. This is really something that got a lot of write ups around in the indie music scene. I really feel there are a lot of people in my home city of Houston here that are really struggling to keep art and culture alive here and build something new to put Houston on the map. We have mass approved “culture” and “arts” but we need to break out and put ourselves on the map creatively for once.
Here’s a bright ideal, why don’t you keep your stupid fucking drunk ass out of other peoples personal space?
What does your video show other than you getting to close to a cop that was being grab shoved from all sides. in caption up above more or less said you put your self in position to interfere with cop. I would say your are imbecile.
heydas beste wäre heute oder überhaupt wenn ich jemand netten zum chattn finden würde!
