the sad part for assange is that the american people are not going to care about the information he revealed the government was keeping from them regarding, for example, the atrocities in the iraq war. we are a nation of roofers and plumbers who just want to get home from work asap and let the pizza and cable tv wash over our brains until we have to repeat all that toil and drudgery the next day…
@KodiacPanda Why not kick his ass out? Shame, fear, self-doubt, socialization, intimidation, take your pick. When a familiar person takes advantage of you sexually, you’ll do quite a lot to convince yourself it didn’t happen or that it was your own fault for opening yourself up to exploitation. Date rape victims sometimes go months without reporting the crime because they’ve convinced themselves that they should have said “no” 4 times instead of 3.
@baalisgod666 Yeah but the power dynamic between men and women is so very different. Also I’d assume you were in good spirits when the two of you went to sleep, you were comfortable with each other and she knew this was not something you would feel would be rape. The whole thing before with the woman and him arguing over condoms makes it so fucking shady and frightening. If I woke up to that I’d be horrified (granted, if I woke up to my significant other going down on me, that’s different….)
@tauceti1234 The allegations she is stating do NOT match up. Firstly, she magically knew the condom broke. How would she be able to tell that DURING?
The transparency of these false allegations is overwhelming, the women even continued to spend time with Assange. Apparently, the horrible things he has supposedly done was not enough to keep them away.
When first the charges were brought, they were dropped almost immediately and then reinstated, wtf? This is a politically motivated prosecution.
@tauceti1234 no.. but if the girl gives consent, was willing to have sex and then suddenly “oh stop” that should be equally a crime, leading a man on should be a crime equal to that of rape because it is just as harmful. But you would have to be a man to understand that, a man can’t just STOP they don’t have on and off switches like a light bulb or your fancy hair dryer.. if it’s on, it’s on unless she pushes him off. If she consents and asks to stop, then tries to sue for rape? That’s entrapment
@SomethingQueer no… once it’s on and she has given consent then the woman forfeits any ability to alter the contract with verbal complaints. She has to use force, if she doesn’t then she isn’t all that serious anyways.
oh god dammit, cenk! RAPE ALLEGATIONS ARE ALWAYS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY! Do you have ANY idea how horrific an experience it is for a woman to pursue rape charges EVEN WHEN IT WAS TRUE? Do you REALIZE that the official statistics are that LESS THAN 2% of rape charges are determined to be untrue!? But moreover, STOP means STOP. If you’re about to climax and she says STOP, pull the FUCK out. Right then! Furthermore, there is NO textbook definition for how people react to traumatic events!!
I think its absurd calling “the condom broke and he didnt pull out” a crime. This is part of the responsibility one has to take after consenting a sexual act! Even if she “asked him to stop”; a sexual act is between two, if you consent is between two, if during the action you want to stop after you accepted, you have to remember that the other individual’s desire is still there, instead of assuming its all about you. People just have to learn how to assume responsibility for their own actions.
As to sex, there is no big deal, just stop if a woman ask you to stop. Sex is no big deal to any intelligent adult, we are not animals. There is no fun anyway when it is not consented. Only mental abnormal or immature have problem with that.
@MrLorack Yes, that does look a little abstract in hindsight.
I was saying that the charges were made by women who seem to laud his work and they made the charges as private citizens.
My point is; Are these charges politically motivated? No it seems, these women politically are not opposed to Assange. Has the Swedish court taken these charges more seriously than normal because it’s Assange? You would have to seek the opinion of a Swedish barrister for that measure.
On the serious side:
“Assange’s defence team had so far been provided by prosecutors with only incomplete evidence, he said. “There are many more text and SMS messages from and to the complainants which have been shown by the assistant prosecutor to the Swedish defence lawyer, Bjorn Hurtig, which suggest motivations of malice and money in going to the police and to Espressen and raise the issue of political motivation… He has been precluded from making notes or copying them.”

@KodiacPanda Reports suggest the woman was talking to friends about finding another place to stay so she wouldn’t have to be around him. I’ve not found anything in the leaked report that says that she felt the condom breaking.
Sometimes it takes a few days for the reality to sink in and for you to realize that you’ve been exploited. And perhaps if you know that the man who has abused you is rich and powerful, you’re afraid of what he might do to you if you speak out about the attack.
Definitely not a crime, even if all the accusations and happenings were true. Sex between consenting adults in the free Western world is not a crime. The woman was free to say yes or no, whether the man wore a condom or not. She had the freedom to stop, disengage and leave. To willingly continue on and complete the sex act with a friend and lover (not a stranger), and then complain much later would be a very weak, if not unacceptable evidence, Not nice, but not criminally responsible!
@baalisgod666 “Goerge W Bin Laden”
Never heard of such a person.
I did vote for George W Bush the Christ
@tauceti1234 Lmao, then kick his ass out. Wtf?
@RattleheadAnthony Well I prefer some in her mouth and some on her forehead lol

@tauceti1234 Having sex with someone while they’re unconscious is RAPE

THIS IS WHY YOU NEED A SAFE WORD!!

Assange should come to US to sell his books.

Can I sue a Swedish slapper whose blowjob leaves teeth marks on my banana?
