@MegaBadMoFo lol yeah right. He doesn’t have a case. Resisting arrest lets them use that kind of force no matter his age. There isn’t anything saying “Don’t tazer anyone 60 or older” because one 64 year old can bench press 200lb while another will break his hip just looking at it. The most that will happen is the officer will be discharged for making a bad decision. I probably would have tried to physically arrest him THEN if he resisted that too much taze him.
You hear about these things happening more and more each day. They say tasing is “less lethal” rather than “non lethal”. If that’s the case, why do police departments permit officers to use them at the first sign of trouble, knowing they “could” cause a fatality? It’s criminal. I thought they were supposed to protect lives, not endanger them. How do you protect yourself and your family from something like this? I doubt I’ll be calling 911 if I ever get injured.

If justice was still blind in this country those cops would lose their job and go to jail for assault. i’ve noticed these cops mostly attack old people and women with their little tazers. I rarely see them attacking a group of thugs or a mexican drug cartel. They gotta attack grandma and grandpa because they are tough guys.
@knucklepunt They are “Less Than Lethal” Meaning their intent isn’t to kill people. Police need some way of subduing people other than their gun. Usually they are used in situations were someone is resisting arrest. Many people resisting arrest can cause harm to either the officer or themselves if they continue or if the Police get physically involved. I’m sure they would be open to suggestions if you can give them something that will aid in taking down a 250lb man without killing him.
@ShadowedKnight The guy wasn’t doing anything wrong he was simply refusing to go to the hospital because he didn’t have insurance. That is not a reason to subdue anyone. The lady even said that he had a heart condition.
@zcham80 Well earlier he was saying he’s going to kill himself. When police have to get involved that person needs a psych evaluation. You can’t just say “Never mind I was joking”. I can agree that they should have tried to subdue him physically more. Although kicking at police isn’t exactly a game winning strategy.

It takes a few years but we will be herding invalids and old people into the gas chambers. The cops always say “stop resisting”. Anyone still justifying police actions such as these need a serious wake up call. I was watching a video of police who tasered a 14 year old girl in the face and it gave her epilepsy when she was of no threat to them and STILL some people justified it. I mean COME ON people.
