I’m against any law that would institute mandatory camera survailance, but that said, if I owned a bar I would use cameras discreetly to protect my clientele and to protect my business from criminals (including police).
I’m for turning this “police state” on it s head by video-taping all “authorities” during their “public” services. Video tape the police. Video tape your elected representatives. And so on.
OK, so bar owners will simply add food and other non-alcohol items for sale and lower the price of alcohol so that their alcohol sales will be less than 50 percent of total revenue. Adding cameras won’t deter crime at all. Crime will just move out of the camera’s view.
In all corporate held bars there are cameras. I no longer go to chain bars, or hotels. I go to private establishments. Take a look and you will see them.
RIGHHHHHHHT, that’s really going to solve crime. give me a break. i think that we should put up cameras in all the policemans’ favorite doughnut shops and see how he likes it. :)
Why would policemen police each other? Cameras don’t intrude on policemen’s privacy because they have the keys to the city. It doesn’t matter what we see them get away with on camera. Rodney King ring a bell?
most bars ive seen in dallas /houston an in louisiana wont let you wear a ball cap or cowboy hat so the camera can see you face
PRIVATE PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!
Fuck that police chief.

Sure, right after they put cameras in jail cells on a live public feed.

It’s a noble idea… except video tape evidence does nothing but prove what we are incapable of doing. Surveillance only benefits the men in charge.
Lol. You hold a good point. I didn’t even think of that.
boom. make it transparent and two way, or it’s never gonna happen.
