There is a reason the Constitution has in it the guarantee of the right to bear arms. If a governmental agency (such as the police) oversteps its boundaries, the people have all the right to resist by arming themselves against the government. The US is becoming a police state and most don’t even realize it. I plan on buying a gun and a vest in the near future to protect myself. At least I have a guaranteed right to do so.
Cops shouldn’t even be paid to do their job. Fire fighters are strictly volunteer, and the police should be too. The difference is, fire fighting is far more honorable.
