OTTAWA COUNTY — Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Huizenga, who shot and injured a Grand Valley State University student during a drug raid, will be reinstated to full-duty status on Aug. 1, Sheriff Gary Rosema said Thursday. Huizenga on July 1 pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of reckless discharge of a firearm.
