@TheStormchaser1 It’s very easy to pick this apart when you’re watching in in slow motion, over and over again… With split seconds to make a decision, and with it all happening in real time, and at the same time, it’s a lot easier to miss a small detail that can cause a huge catastrophe. I know I keep saying this over and over, but no one has presented any evidence that refutes it, if SHE hadn’t run from the police and driven recklessly, this man would still be alive, period.
@FLASHMAN1973 This is why cops need to train every day for 4 hours a day. And, train in driving 6 hours a day for 6 months. You know the policy and you can make those split second decisions. This office was not trained properly and I hold him and the whole police department responsible.
As long as cops stick together over crap like this, then we won’t have confidence in them. I’m really tired of hearing… “we’re not guilty, but we need to examine what went wrong so we can avoid a tragedy like this in the future”. Such nonsense. This is such a clear case of cop neglect.

YOU saying that this officer was not trained properly does not make it true, unless you were present for his training, and YOU saying you hold him, and his department responsible is about as meaningful as Lindsay Lohan taking a vow of chastity. The family of the jogger holds the CRIMINAL responsible, as does the law, as it should be…
@FLASHMAN1973 You train long enough and do it on a regular basis. You have that reaction time. That split second decision. Many local cops do not have constant training. If they did this would never have happened. Depending on agency when it comes to pit cop is responsible. They have to be aware of their surroundings at all times.

Had it been the suspect’s vehicle ramming the police car, causing the police car to strike and kill a pedestrian, the suspect would have been charged with vehicular manslaughter / homicide. PERIOD!!!
That poor jogger probably jogged daily to ensure that they live a long healthy life, and ended up dying due to the negligence of a trained police officer. A trained police officer who disobeyed his supervisors order not to perform the pit maneuver.
