well… if the city paid to have a bicycle only lane to be built within it i think people should use it. If they really thought of it as a problem they should of said something to the city planning department before construction began. dont they have city assembly meetings/gatherings where they address the public of city plans and cast a public vote? plus i wonder how many walking* pedestrians were fed up with over speeding fast peddling *get da F* outta my way* cyclists.

I didnt know a traffic jam was worth arresting people over. no one is stopping unless the cops nocked them down and i thought cops were supposed to aid traffic jams, not make them worse. I rode around Manhattan on a bicycle for a dozen years and NEVER had an incident with police, or another pedestrian. Did crash into an idiot kid who stood perpendicular to my oncoming 30mph ten-speed, which I had to brake really fast to avoid slamming.
Who’s streets? I’m a 59-year old man with a handicap (military injury). If the streets belong to bicyclists, how am I I supposed to get around? I certainly cannot ride a bicycle and these critical mass events intentionally block vehicles like I must ride in.
these people are trying to preserve the world for future generations by riding bikes and this is how you treat them?
and no bullshit about “oh, the road is for cars” and all that.
what has been on roads since transportation was first invented? bikes.
cars cause much worse traffic jams than bikes. it’s obvious.
