That’s ridiculous. If it was to clear the street for a snow plow or whatnot it would just be common courtesy to politely ASK the person to move the vehicle first BEFORE towing it. Hope the police officer get’s a write up or something.
If the intent was to make way for a plow in case of snow, why not allow him (and others) to move the vehicle into his driveway or garage, or elsewhere instead of simply taking it and threatening force?
Doesn’t it seem that requesting he move the vehicle ought be the first option, rather than a non-option?
The best “revenge” for such a situation from the ROAD CREW’s position is to just plow the car in.
To have the car towed while the owner is standing there is insane.
Sounds like New York City — where they steal cars all the time and then hold them far away for a king’s ransom.
My suggestion: electrify the body of your automobile to mildly taze anyone tampering with it (don’t forget to shut it off before you open your car door).
A farmer in S. Dakota years ago was upset because every winter the snow plow would knock over his mailbox. So, one summer he put in a cubic yard of reinforced cement under his mailbox on a steel pipe. The next winter the snow plow hit the pipe, and the snow plow driver was seriously injured. The snow plow was totalled. The farmer went to jail.
Manchester Police should know better. I had hoped the department would be a bit more professional. Very pathetic. That officer should face disciplinary action.
My Girlfriend, myself and Daughter want to move to Keene but It will definetly take awhile to save up money for the move.
I guess it would have been great to have this on video. Especially the faces of the perpetrators. We need to know who these bastards are so we can run when we see them, to avoid the like the plague that they are.
“…this, that, and the other thing…”
Um, could you elaborate slightly on that?
something something something
massbackwards, exactly. .. but if you’ve seen more than just this vid, you will notice the false claims constantly, and video editing in places where the police were obviously correct. (that’s a lot of editing!!!) This, that, and the other thing clearly leads me to believe the police officer gave him a perfectly good answer.
just wait til people install remote ignition devices on their old beater vehicles and set them on fire as they are being stolen…
burn baby burn
Under what law would the guy have been arrested? ‘Failure to Go Back Inside’? I’m not aware of that one.
