@silversynth Sorry but that’d be fine if government officials weren’t earning upwards of €100,000 a year to fund their high-costing lifestyles. Not to mention being driven around in Garda cars daily, THEN having the cynicism to knock a euro off the minimum wage AND bring minimum wage earners into the tax bracket? It’s okay for somebody earning €40,000 a year to pay the same tax as someone earning €300,000 a year? Whatever your political views that’s just a basic lack of common sense!

If they cant afford it they need to get a loan. These people will make more money so they should invest in their own education rather than expect the tax payer to do it.
@1robster1 That’s the way it works in Australia. The uni manages the loan at a low rate and it’s paid off as soon as you start to work.

IRELAND SPENT €79MILLION LAST YEAR TO HOUSE 6,000 ASYLUM SEEKERS
Officials admitted the true cost could be €158million in one year, they said education, social welfare, and health will also have to paid for and are not included in that cost.
Meanwhile our own Irish ppl – cancer patients, disabled ppl, respite care for seriously ill children who need 10million a year in Leinster – are deprived healthcare. Africans and Arabs come here, using our resources, not giving a damn how it affects us.
