Welcome the first part of my Siren playthrough! This first part covers the opening cutscenes as well as the very first mission of the game. Archive Items Collected: #004 – Hanuda Community Newsletter #005 – Tetsuo Ishida’s police ID #006 – BANG!! Magazine letsplayforum.com
This game looks terrible, the graphics are awful even for when it was released and the gameplay looks like it’s stiff, awkward and unforgiving especially when compared to the far superior Siren Blood Curse.
@PsychoArsonX Can’t help but feel that you watched Spoony’s review of the game. xD Correct me if I’m wrong though.
@Empathyisnotpity I was unaware that Spoony had a review of Siren until you mentioned it so I went and watched and I do say a lot of the same things as him.
Lol they look Japanese but have British accents.
:Mission objective Escape the poliman:
“Screw that!” :Picks up keys and gets into truck, then rams into policeman:
:Objective complete: “Damn straight it is! Now I’ll act as tho it wasnt my fault and no one will be none the wiser” :D
@PsychoArsonX
You do realize that Siren: Blood Curse was a remake of the original Forbidden Siren, right?
Yes, Blood Curse may have better graphics, but it did come out later than FS and on the PS3 as well.
Unfortunately, the only reason I might want to play Blood Curse is because it’s less scary than FS because it’s more like, “let’s just kill ’em” rather than sneaking around the shibito, and I’m unable to play the original without screaming every five seconds. >.<;
@Blah5696 Just because it is scary, doesn’t mean that it is a good game. The design elements cripple Forbidden Siren’s gameplay. I do admit that It is very dark and scary but it is way to dark, you can hardly see anything in forbidden Siren and you can’t use your flashlight because all the enemies will see you. Blood Curse fixed all of Forbidden Siren’s numerous flaws and actually made the game playable unlike the broken mess of forbidden Siren, even if it isn’t as scary as Forbidden Siren.
@PsychoArsonX
I dunno, I personally like that it’s really dark, because that makes it scarier and makes you rely on sightjacking, especially if you don’t have a weapon to fend yourself off. Unlike BC, where you almost always have a weapon.
Although, there are some design elements in BC that I like better than in FS.. like the fact that you can actually move while sightjacking. >.<;
0:59 Not really… back when I was a kid, the Redeads moanings was the scariest sound I’ve heard, and it still remains it today, as of a nostalgia factor, but yeah… a nuclear or immediate evacuation siren is never pleasant to hear… I sure wouldn’t want to hear one.
OOOH i remember this game now D:, i played it when it first came out, but was like 10 years old back then D:! so my parents took it away and god knows where it is right now XD, im gonna buy it since i NOW remember its name ^^, it scared the shit outa me when i first played it!!

I have this game but i’m too scared to play. Though the way of going from day to day and changing areas in time remind me of Shadow of Destiny.
this game is so frustrating -_- i like the ps3 version better ;)

Holy crap it’s a mad cop! Quick, get in the car!
