There have been rising tensions between the LAPD and several working class neighborhoods for days, with riots breaking out in downtown LA. It turns out that the LA police officer, who shot and killed a Guatemalan immigrant last weekend, has been involved in two other shootings while on duty. So is this a case of police brutality? RT’S Ramon Galindo explains that the poorer communities say they face cases of police abuse often and have nowhere to go for protection.
Some times violence is the only way to get your point across
run towards a cop with a knife, youre gonna get shot, period
@labartic blow a whistle on a cop or groups of cop or even the organization itself can get you and your loved ones killed.
@Hirt1026 so let’s fight corruption with legal matters.
@aquatimes637 If you’re talking about fighting corruption with legal matters as in the courts. That is where the problem lies. Our whole judicial system along with our govt needs to be torn down and rebuild from scratch.
“…at the hands of the Los Angeles police dept…” UMMMMM … NO, it was suicide by cop – a clear cut case.
look at alyona… wrong again.
There was justice in this case!
The guy was waving a knife while drunk, in front of Law Enforcement officers, who were CALLED TO THE SCENE to protect those around him. He was SHOT! That’s what happens! CASE CLOSED!
A single “witness” who wont even give their name is worthless!
No knife? Then WHO CALLED 911? And WHY? (reply)
I’m more then critical of law enforcement than anyone I know, and extremely vocal when an injustice occurs, but in this case… Nothing to see here, move along.
@Hirt1026 i strongly agree with tearing down the system and built a fresh new judicial system. there’s too many bureaucracies involved and whether it’s based on a right wing or left wing agenda, then we as a people must bring down the government and make a new one.
Hispanics are basically TRASH. Every hispanic neighborhood in the USA is a 3rd world trash pit w/ gangs and graffiti everywhere.
“we do not teach police to take away knives” <--- correct. Police are trained to ensure the safety of everyone including the criminal.
@jimj122680 I’m Latin American “HISPANIC” My neighborhood is very nice I even have a golf course can you believe it!! and nice flowers and green grass and have a nice office where must my clients are unemployed who get food stamps and welfare and medicare from the goverment oh oh and must of them are in some kind of drugs and guess what they look like. I let you figure out on your own ok gringo.
Most are afraid to go the police in areas like Westlake because most of these people are undocumented. I think the LAPD did the best they could. This so called ANA person’s account is contrary to a whole slew of other eye witnesses.
Jamines is the bad guy Ramon Galindo you DF. Talk about the lack of reporting the facts “Objectively and without Prejudice.”
There are cameras that recorded what happen and there being hiden because it is obvious there was no knife…People that don’t live in the area shouldn’t comment because they don’t know how things are going down…
@Hirt1026 what about if you die trying to get your point across asshole, where is the merit of that, this guy was murdered by this fucking mexican pig….. violence brings more violence, but if that is what you like, then be my guest
@quetzalrojo So you’re the type who lives on their knees. You call me a asshole cause i am willing to fight for what’s right. So you know i was not standing up for the cops. But in your views from the comment you left me you think the cops should be able to do what they want when they want and the people should not do anything cause they can die. Live on your knees or die on your feet. Be a man not a punk.
when you use violence, man,,,, is not a good tool, it can backfires at you. I’ve been a violent guy, maybe not the type of street thug, but I’ve learn the hard way there are other ways to fight for your rights..people can fight these pigs without having to become like them….fight fire with fire is not the best way, even if it looks prominent at short sight, and you know something it takes more courage to avoid using violence than to use it, our conception about what a man is. differs
@Hirt1026 and you are right about something, I thought you were on the cop side…. but anyway my opinion about the use of violence remains still, I’ve learn something, everything you do in life has a payback, absolutely everything, good or wrong, important or not important……. fight for the good cause, without becoming like your enemies… peace man
@quetzalrojo I will agree with you about our concepts being different and violence isn’t always the best answer. But like i said sometimes violence is the only way to get your point across.
Is she just a journalistic neophyte or is she just that blantly one-side? Obviously there was another side of this story that was not represented and defended here. I am no fanboy of the police, but damn. Even they should be allowed to to give their side of the story as it relates to this case and defend themselves against this guy’s narrative and characterization of the incident.
