you dont have to tell me about corruption with the cops in mexico they robed me two months ago in puerto vallarta my new laptop and $300.00 u.s.d. !
Im sorry to hear you also had that experience. Your story sounds very much like so many others we heard from both locals and tourists while filming this story. Lets hope things change for the better very soon before people completely avoid Mexico for safety reasons and miss out on all the fantastic natural wonders and cultural gems the country offers.
People have to understand that they are taking necessary procedures for safety reasons.
I appreciate all points view and of course there are very good people serving on the police force in Mexico, but the issue we were covering and the stories we heard from people did not reflect necessary procedures for safety. Bribes, threats, attempts to separate people and force them to go to hotel rooms is not normal safety procedure. Unfortunately, these incidents are not uncommon there.
the same happend to me the police took like 300 usd away due to some ridiculus reasons that they wanted to give us a ticket. it happned in tampico so i advise tourist not to go thier.
