The WikiLeaks website is fast gaining credibility as a whistleblowing site for political secrets, but one of the people behind it, Australian Julian Assange, remains an international man of mystery. His biggest coup so far has been obtaining classified video of Iraqi civilians and Reuters staff being gunned down by a US military helicopter, dubbed Collateral Murder, which has been watched over six million times. The site also released what it claimed was the list of websites to be banned under the Australian Governments proposed internet filter, before parts of WikiLeaks itself were blacklisted by the Australian Communications and Media Authority. But Julian Assange does all this with no home or office, constantly travelling the world, so Mark Davis tracked him down to Norway, followed him to Sweden, where many of WikiLeaks servers are based, then to Iceland, where he was advising politicians on turning the country into a safe haven for whistleblowers, and finally to Australia, where he was told his passport would be cancelled amid WikiLeaks being investigated by the Australian Federal Police.
Makeup? Give me a break! The vanity takes away from the integrity. At least it does for me. All the worlds a stage I guess. . .

If he is being interviewed by a professional film crew, he’s expected to wear make up. Its part of the deal. It has nothing at all to do with vanity.
What I’d like to see is more comments from the Australian govt. and public re: Wikileaks.
Also, how come nobody’s done an investigation into Wikileaks finances? If you check their site, they haven’t really broken a big story in a long time. This then would mean that their donations have gone down? Possibly.
But also, the last time I checked, globetrotting isn’t exactly cheap. SInce he has no paying day job, is Assange a multi-millionaire?
If he is, then why the big secrecy re: it? Frankly, the “man of mystery” angle may help the MSM to hype ratings for this. But to the rest of us, it gets really old.
Stop the stupid turf wars with Mother Jones, Cryptome, WMR and the others. And please release all the important documents that you say you have.
I’d like to see some leaks from Pakistani intelligence or perhaps Iranian intelligence which we could all peruse. Or perhaps he could intercept e-mails from islamofascists in the UK or US?
I wonder how it is that only western sources feel this need to give up secrets for scrutiny? Meanwhile our stupid governments allow millions of islamists to settle amongst us. What part of the Trojan Horse story didn’t they understand?
