www.tomshardware.com No backdoor action for Windows 7, assures Microsoft. Earlier this week we learned that the National Security Agency (NSA) has been working with Microsoft to improve the security measures of Windows 7. “Working in partnership with Microsoft and (the Department of Defense), NSA leveraged our unique expertise and operational knowledge of system threats and vulnerabilities to enhance Microsoft’s operating system security guide without constraining the user’s ability to perform their everyday tasks,” said Richard Schaeffer, the NSA’s Information Assurance Director. “All this was done in coordination with the product release, not months or years later in the product cycle.” This cooperation by the two bodies led some to theorize that the NSA and Microsoft may have somehow built a backdoor into Windows 7. Marc Rotenberg, the executive director of the Electronics Privacy Information Center (EPIC), expressed his concern as the NSA has an interest in surveillance as as a part of its efforts in security. “The key problem is that NSA has a dual mission, COMPUSEC, computer security, now called cyber security, and SIGINT, signals intelligence, in other words surveillance,” Rotenberg said in an e-mail. Microsoft quickly responded to such concerns. “Microsoft has not and will not put ‘backdoors’ into Windows,” a company spokeswoman said to Computerworld. “The work being discussed here is purely in conjunction with our Security Compliance Management Toolkit.” Of …
I knew it.
I had a feeling there was something fishy behind System 7.
I usually don’t trust anything made within the frame of today anyway. (shrug) Good thing I don’t trust this!
See the new System 7 commercials on TV that talk about how great it is that Sys 7 will automatically download all your GPS location info from your PDA, and all the photos you have taken with your PDA.
interesting comment ….
Since System 7 can do that, then it’s obvious that System 7 probably can collect that information and store it up in a secret database, far off, where government officials can keep them documented for further research and manipulation of the human populous.
I think I’ll do some research on Linux.
well this is fucking stupid it didnt explain anything…. and really who cares have you used windows 7 it is great… now give me proof theres trap doors…
uh .. I am not sure what you are seeking … it is all undocumented spaghetti code more or less … so what is your point of view on this .. ?
@BakersBoyz sorry i didnt read the discription..
did you ?
If there was something “bad” in Windows we would have told all you sheep about it by now. That’s what we get paid for. But if you are really paranoid then yes, you can use OpenBSD if you feel the need.
I wish it was true….if American hawks nosy ,good for nothing are watching me through my window microsoft , it will stop spending all that money on useless projects and spend that money on poor people like me living all over the world…. rather then poltting wickedly killing of innocent people all over the world… cold blooded monsters..
Rumor has it that the security forces of this country have had there hand in all of Microsoft’s operating systems. The reason is that the government has contracts with Microsoft for government run computers. They aid in writing the software so they can be sure that the government’s computers are secure for them. You can decide whether or not this is the reason. If your worried just don’t use windows.
and google, they run the secret internet
The major thing M$ is guilty of is over-priced software. The only good thing about Microsoft is that they won’t allow the government to “alter” their software for their own purpose. Think about it: If one wanted intelligence (or to spy) on Americans then it would be as easy as controlling communications. – Your ISP, e.g., builds enough intelligence to give incredible insight to our behaviors without a warrant thanks to the renewal of the Patriot Act so graciously bestowed upon us by our leaders.
what about the cryptome web site shut down. Direct attack on John Young who runs Cryptome.
@mattman696 watch mt latest video to get proof that MS has trap doors. it was on the news recently.
is there any wway that u live in bakersfield california
@rcdude747 yes, why do you ask ?
@BakersBoyz your name and i live there
small world huh??
Hmmm. It shows a Apple computer in the video…they don’t run windows at all!

what is the name of the artist and the song??
This isn’t only restricted to operating system literary every device that can connect to the internet or mobilenetworks can be remotely activated including your webcam or even somebody might watch you while you asleep trough your mobile phone. They’ve always done it and they will continue doing it.
it clearly is… if your not sure you either haven’t done your research… or your just a dumbass period
You think an agency that handles to investigate billions of windows-users is not capable of exploitining the very actual linux kernel in an automatism infecting possibily every linux-user with a linux-backdoor-module for the very-same remote-forensic-application? Do you the think they go to Linus and tell him ‘Let us help to improve Linux, here is a security vulnerabilty we found, please fix it’ – Of course ;D – You fools
