The difference is that the police are not this polite (they would have thrown those old people to the floor and put boots on their back) and the woman @ the 3rd house would’ve got roughed up for talking to the cop as if she was his equal.

[..YouTube..] This isn’t that far off of what police departments are doing. Within the last year I remember hearing of SWAT teams busting a couple of poker games.
In Minneapolis, SWAT busted in the wrong house, the homeowner thought criminals were breaking in and returned fire. Several SWAT members got MEDALS for the event. MPLS police dropped the charges on the homeowner for opening fire.
