@wesfoshee Actually he didn’t contradict the video. So, when the guy was on the ground face down, feet spread, hands behind his back, he was a threat? I know that you will probably never change your mind until something like this happens to you. There was NO reason for the arrest in the first place, OR the search. You also have the RIGHT to REFUSE ANY SOBRIETY TESTING (at the expense of a license suspension).

He wasn’t a threat, he was laying on the ground face down with his arms and legs spread out. Also, they already searched him and didn’t find anything that he could hurt them with. These cops are idiot gung-ho cowboy types just looking for any excuse to try and feel tough, and look how many there are, ridiculous. They should be fired or at least suspended.

It is illegal to use a taser on anyone who isn’t resisting arrest. Someone stationary on the ground is not resisting arrest. A mother shouting at cops is not interfering with an arrest.

He failed the sobriety tests, he didn’t pass them as the commentator says. Even in the small part of the sobriety test that they didn’t remove from this copy of the video shows him performing poorly. He failed all three field tests.
This guy was passively resisting by not putting his hands behind his back. Prior to this year there had been no court rulings that said this was illegal. Even with the ruling from the 9th circuit this year there is still no solid law concerning this.

And as far as the mother, she can yell at the police all she wants. Once the mother steps outside the vehicle and refuses the officers order to return to the vehicle she is interfering with the arrest.
Again, I never said they acted appropriately, but the police did nothing illegal.
The guy was intoxicated, which is apparent if you watch this from an unbiased position, but it would have been easier to see if they would not have conveniently removed over 2 minutes of field test video.
