Drunk bar owner tortured by police

The woman in this video was so drunk she doesn’t remember any of what happened, so obviously her drunkenness played a factor in her defiant behavior–but it seems the officers enjoyed the provocation. She could have just as easily been left alone in the cell to exert all her drunken energy until she passed out. However… Right from the beginning she appeared very afraid of the scolding officers, leaving little doubt that the same treatment had been occurring before entry into the cell. As you can see, the MALE officers go on to slam her into the wall, slam her face into the other wall, strike her in the head, slam her head into the wall, push her onto the ground, shine a flashlight in her face, and pepper spray her. These officers just couldn’t wait to be given any “reason” to come into the cell and shut her up with physical abuse (very logical), and their actions lead to a temporary suspension without pay. What’s more harrowing than the video itself is that scheduled hearings with the city commission that were to follow were instead substituted with simply finding them not guilty and reinstating the jailers’ positions WITH BACK PAY! One commissioner said the officers “used only the minimal force that was needed to control her” and another didn’t claim to see anything that “was way out of line with the situation”; they seemed to feel everything was justified based on the fact that the woman was behaving with belligerence. It’s obvious that leaving her alone to scream …
