gm to all,well TN cops have struck again on 8-14-2010 TN cops tazed and beat a 81 year old lady for sitting on a sidewalk in front of her home,cops stated that she resisted when told to go into her home she was then TAZED and BEAT by 4 police officers who were called as backup.NEIGHBORS were screaming at the cops to stop TAZING the women but they were told to get back in there homes which they did.WTVF AND THE TENNESSEAN in NASHVILLE TN refused to print or air this abuse of power .

The police officers are disgusting. They all lied in statements and in court and Mark was convicted of assaulting THEM!. He had to pay THEM compensation and serve community service. Thank goodness for the appeal court judge who saw this footage and cleared his name and awarded him the compensation back. If it wasn’t for this footage an innocent man would have had his life ruined by having a criminal record. Maybe if cops acted in a professional manner they would gain more respect from the public
the police in most countries operates like a mafia, above the law, backed by the government and backed by their superiors, we live in a police state in the UK. I am not allowed to stop anyone on the street just because i feel like it, nor am i allowed to put my hands on somebody.

Lightfoot was sent down for 3 yearsn yeasterday, I don’t think he will be in for a good time were he is right now.

Coward No2 – Sgt Stephen Russell – Not charged
Coward No3 (and a fat bastard) SPC Peter Lightfoot – 3 Years
The other 2 should have been charged as they allowed Lightfoot to carry out this attack, also they lied whilst making statements.

Thanks, Mark is fine and recently became a father. He is suing the cop (Peter Lightfoot) who beat him. Lightfoot was prosecuted and convicted of assault against Mark.
Mark was wrongly convicted of assault against cops. Appeal Judge John Phipps stated that prosecution should not have been brought against Mark and ordered an investigation that lead to charges being brought against the three cops.

@hplaserjet2001 thats what they do these days. I myself have been a victim of this sort of thing. I was jumped, beaten and maced by two officers because of a broken street sign. I was then charged with assaulting the officers. This is standard procedure.

I am sorry to hear of this happening to you and hope you are alright and were acquitted.
We need more with cameras videotaping these assaults. If these videos are posted on YT and other websites then the judicial system will be shamed into doing the right thing as they were with Mark.
@cruekid2001 Makes me wonder how many such assaults on innocent members of the public were covered up in the days before CCTV and mobile-phone cameras,Kelsall and Russell should have also been charged,guilt by innaction or guilt by association,they watched their colleague assault a guy yet did nothing,imbecilic scummy knuckle-draggers.
