It was a horrible accident by the look of it, but ultimately the blame is on the shooter, for drawing and pointing a loaded weapon at an unarmed man on the ground. That the dumfuk placed his finger inside the trigger guard makes it reckless. If there were any real justice in the US he’s get 5 years in jail, personal liability plus his employers sued. In reality he’ll get a few days or weeks paid holiday and return to work.
If that was my family memeber after seeing this video I would kill that cop. I mena look at the other cops reaction, hes just looking at the cop who shot the kid, (like wtf did you do man). People don’t obey the law because of police… they obey the law cause they have morals and values go beyond the reach of the law. Thats why people do good deeds. Would there be absolute mayhem without police? Maybe… but maybe not. There are areas that don’t even have a police force and seem to do fine. The guy needs a minimum of 3 to 7 for involuntary manslaughter… no pay should be a given. The guy is dead, he killed him, and to that there is no dispute.

That is such a bunch of crap. If a cop isn’t trained well enough to be able to tell the difference between the grip and weight of a gun and a taser, never mind being smart enough to be able to remember which side he mounts them on his belt, then there is absolutely no justification whatsoever for him being allowed to serve on any force, anywhere, for ANY purpose. If I were his Captain, I wouldn’t allow him to be in command of a floor mop without supervision.

The cops should not have reached for his taser or his hand gun. The cops were already in control, you dont use these weapons as a statement which most cops are doing with the tasers. God help the cop that using one of those fucking things on me.

the officer reached for his stun gun, but instead grab his real gun by mistake? that would be the dumbest excuse i’ve ever heard. a stun gun and a pistol don’t event feel the same in your hand.
Police like these is a prime example of why capital punishment should be imposed for incompetence.

I made a comparison, no need to be a conceited ass about it. I don’t flip burgers, but I wouldn’t mind doing it if it meant food on the table and a roof over my head, an honest pay is an honest pay. @pillzownsu Good to know your a college kid, ive accomplished that and now I am a K-9 Sgt. with my Deparment …I guess thats why I stick up for one of my own. Some day maybe you will grow up and understand that, since you have accomplished so so much being a college kid…… gain the knowlege before you speak kid. i know what it is, the most ignorant and worthless members of our society are drawn to the police force. This is an unacceptable mistake, if the police force is going to allow the opportunity for this mistake, then they need to take more accountability for the schleps they put out on the street.
