when paper currency loses it’s value the the price of precious metals goes up; taking this in to account it reinforces the notion that the gold and silver standard is the best way to go in implementing a viable medium of exchange as it’s capacity for inflation(theft) is negligible; you can’t fabricate it from thin air like the banks have done with paper and digital currencies. soon enough people will revolt when they see that their savings amount to nothing but worthless digits on a computer.

At this point with gold being so high and food still being relatively low, I’d rather have $1700 in bottled water and canned food rice beans ammo and guns before I would buy an oz of gold. Just personal opinion. I do own alot of silver which has proved to be a wise 2 year investment so far.
