What was the result of this? Good work knowing your rights. The key to disarming them of their power is to always to be ready to sit in jail; the cops don’t know the law, so we have to inform them of it. Good use of a videocamera.
I guess the officers must appear in court and an investigation of the situation is still under way…so the situation has not been resolved yet.
Thanks for the reply, and thanks for all you do. I have been watching your videos for a while now; good work. You, and your words, are making a differrence. Thanks again, and keep it up; we have only just begun.
i think part of the problem is the training.
i cant get pulled over for a tail light out without the cop wanting to search me .
“…hear,hear…”
But then keep in mind a tail light being out is an infraction and therefore an obvious visible and legal reason to pull you over. This is not the same thing as stopping you and detaining you without a legal reason to do so as with the person on the bike.
oh i know , ive been pulledover for other little things too, its not that they pull me over for ,i just find it odd they feel the need to pad me down and search my car .i know i dont have to let them but i just dont want them to think im hiding something when there is nothing to hide .
“A lot of people are changing cameras into weapons.” What an outright lie.
I uderstand…you have the right to refuse being searched…but personally I think one should way the situation and ask themselves IF insisting on that right in any given situation is worth the hastle or not. This is something we all must weigh.
wow….
probable cause = evidence of crime
reasonable suspicion is the new standard according to terry v ohio which is the same so called federal law that they use to justify sb1070
@turns2gold Get a “Thin Blue Line” bumper sticker on your car like the cops and gov’t employees have and you will never get pulled over!!!
How is that for justice..
