You’re viewing the term Lucifer through a very Christian lens, in free masonry the whole “light bringer” cliche alludes to the Free Mason’s fantasy of being the torch bearers for civilization, their self aggrandized belief that they were the keepers of the knowledge and skills that laid the foundation for society. In reality they’re little more than stone masons who outgrew themselves and are withering to die.

As for Skull and Bones, they have no connection to the Freemasons and from what I understand are essentially a macabre fraternity of spoiled privileged prats who occasionally go on to be successful (as spoiled privileged prats often are). I’ve yet to see any convincing evidence that there’s anything particularly sinister or nefarious about them, aside from their tendency to play with bones they probably shouldn’t even possess. Maybe if you’re of a supernaturalist mindset you imagine more?
