If the warning buzzer went off indicating that the child needed to be searched, the guard has to do her job. What if she had let her go on the call that “she’s only six” and then the girl gets stopped later on and caught with something illegal? The security guard would have been FIRED.

@boominrick1987 The scanner went off once. And, according to the rules of being an airport security guard, they had to search her. Those are the rules. You can’t make an exception based on age–that’s discrimination. And, anyways, if we (the US) let people know that we don’t follow the rules, and make exceptions for little kids, then more people will use kids for smuggling.
And the security guard isn’t getting on the plane, so you can’t really say that she could possibly be smuggling drugs….

I agree with almost all comments….BUT, some fanatics(not to be mentioned, world trade center) would deem it religiously appropriate to strap a bomb on their own children believing the will go to, what they believe, as heaven when it explodes bringing down the plane etc. I wouldnt want my child searched, but I sure would want the other child(with the bomb) to be searched. I suppose it’s a matter of perspective. Guess I wont be getting on a plane in the future.
