Watching the news IS surreal these days…I find that they either don’t report the important stories at all, or if they do, they report it in a way so that the true meaning of the story is reversed: “things were looking up today for the US economy when the stock market rose by xx%…” etc. (Ignoring the reason this actually happened, which is actually bad for the overall health of the economy).

The impetus for reform, change, etc. is honesty. All of the ideological bullshit will just get people slaughtered. Integrity and honesty would ameliorate many problems our society is currently mired in .
I think the government wants the documents to be leaked, that’s why they are leaked.
The U.S. government might just be pretending its resistence about the leak, afterall, I think these leaked documents actually show more positive side of the U.S. policies rather than the negative. For all we know, wikileak might just be a pawn at the government’s hand. No one knows..
