I don’t think there would have been an arrest of the officer who did the shooting if the video had not existed.
This could have been my son…he’s only 15 and how can I look him in the eye and tell him that the police have his best interests in mind when they view him as a born suspect and all he sees is this?
At the very least a civilian review board needs to have subpeona power otherwise it’s relatively useless.
The question right now is whether the cop will actually be found guilty or if he’ll be set free like so many other murderous cops.
