The first I noticed of it was when the police departments started preferential hiring of ex-military people returning from Viet Nam. They started introducing military tactics into the department, including the first SWAT team. They quit referring to people on the street as citizens and started calling them “civilians”, or more commonly “assholes”. “They looked for opportunities to use their new toys provided from “federal assistance” monies in the war on drugs. They changed the uniforms from the blue-suited cop with an 8-sided hat with a shield on front to a set of black or navy fatigues and a ball cap. They started shaving their heads and pumping iron. They gave up on the idea that they put themselves in the line of fire to protect and serve the public and took on a combat marine attitude of protect their own above all else. Heres a good one. My sons best friend calls the cops stationed 5 mins walk away. The dad is drunk and says he’ll kill his two sons. (He no longer lived with them). 15 mins later they call again as he starts to kick the door in, he breaks in gets hold of one of the sons stranggling him on the stairs the other hits him. 5 mins pass, the other gets a knife and stabs his dad 7 times eventually killing him. He calls an ambulance 1/2hr away. The ambulance arrived before the cops did.

Yes. Something happened to the cops nowadays where they need to have aggressive power over us peons. Yes, there are of course *some* decent cops that are in the job to help the community. The majority nowadays have disgusting attitudes, like to abuse and assault people, and really want to use physical force on us. They think they are above us simply because they are employed by the government to enforce laws.
