Come on… a man gets 180 days in jail for asking the judge to say please? My experiences in court for petty traffic issues and such.. I seen an old man get put in jail for wearing his hat. The judge ordered him to remove it and because he spoke spanish didn’t understand. The judge didn’t ask again.. It was off to the slammer.

your suggesting that traffic offenses warrant, 180 days in jail? I thought jail was used for separating people who pose a threat to the safety of the community. At least I was told that was the intent. Where is the victim. And who is compensated for the “crime?”

It always amuses me to see people try to use guess work on their assumptions regarding people they disagree with. Hoffman was a douche – just like many of these so called freestaters who yell, scream and kick like toddlers when things don’t go their way…luckily the freekeene folks are completely irrelevant in my hometown of Keene.

“You thought wrong,” is not a response to an honest question. But I must conclude, if your not willing to communicate openly and honestly, then you really are not interested in an open discussion.
There doesn’t have to be a victim for there to be a crime. Traffic laws prevent accidents. You can’t just go around arresting people after they’ve crashed their cars into others.

IF – This guy does get the truth out of the judge he may avoid further Jail and show the world how silly our Justice System is! Encourage his wife to record the proceedings in any manner possible, even writing if nothing else! This will show the FACTS that the Judge is representing the Prosecution, (IE) STATE!
