Why allow a cop to access your car/belongings to begin with if you have nothing to hide? What if they plant something in your car while they are searching it?

Heres an idea, don’t break the law and you don’t have anything to worry about. Don’t try to use the “its my right” argument. Having said that the officer doesnt have the authority to search property unless there is obvious probable cause/reasonable suspion i.e. intoxicated persons in the vehicle.
what if the officer asks “have you had anything to drink tonight?”

Cuz if you remain silent aren’t you antagonizing the officer and making it worse? (Since you probably know how temperamental and quick to anger officers can be?)
