Today’s topic will be what makes a leader successful. There are a lot of people out there that are a leader in his industry and there are also some that are not a leader. Those who aren’t a leader have not figured out what is going to change their life yet. What I’m talking about is making decisions. Yes, it’s that simple. Making decisions, the ability to be able to make decisions fast is what separates leaders with the others. Henry Ford makes decisions fast, so does Napoleon Hill, Jim Ron, Tony Robbins, etc. Leaders make decisions fast.
I was an insurance agent before. When I made the decisions to have a change in my life, when I wanted to quit as an insurance agent, and start my own business online, all of my friends gave me opinions. Negative ones. Yes, absolutely negative ones. They are trying to discourage me, all words that came out from their mouth was negative. Just because they don’t have the courage to try, just because they don’t have the will, motivation, and desire to try, and fly up high in the sky, they are pulling me down. Just because they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone, they wanted me to do the same. To stay in the same league with them, i.e. not successful.
Napoleon Hill once said, “opinions are the cheapest commodities on earth”. If you are influenced by opinions when you make decisions, you will not succeed in any circumstances. If you are influenced by opinions of others, you will have no desire of your own. You have a brain and mind of your own, use it and reach your own decisions.
When you make decisions,, you will get tons of opinions from your friends and even your family. Now, it is up to you. You wanted to be successful or you wanted to be a failure, you wanted to be rich or you wanted to broke, you decides who you are. Your decision is up to you to make. The only thing standing between you and the success you’re going to have is yourself, your hesitation, your doubt in your decision. Never doubt yourself.
Now let me talk a bit about myself. Before I started my online business, I had to work twelve hours a day. I had to be outside all the day. I had to stand outside when the sun is burning like hell. I had to knock on doors, I had to call people. I have to make a list of my friends and families and I go and harass them just to close sales.
