I had always dreamed of visiting Australia, ever since my sister Ruth and her family has moved out there, over ten years ago. The trouble was neither myself or my husband were earning the kind of money to pay for such a trip. It wasn’t just us, there were our three children, Lee, Rosie and Mitchell and my widowed mum, who was longing to see Ruth, and that meant air fares in particular were way beyond our budget. We never stopped looking though or hoping that one day we would be able to afford the holiday of a life time.
That day came out of the blue one evening a couple of weeks ago. I was playing on-line bingo for an hour to relax me before bed when I hit the jackpot – a win of £5,000. Ruth knows we are all coming and she can’t wait to see us all and show us all the sights. We haven’t seen each other for over 5 years and our youngest doesn’t really remember Ruth at all. We all can’t wait to get out there and start enjoying ourselves it truly will be the holiday of a lifetime!
