Lose Ten Pounds — For Good

Every dieter knows that it’s not actually awfully difficult to lose ten pounds to start with all it involves is self control, working out and eating in a healthy way! The principal challenge is keeping that weight off, and remaining healthy at the same time. We also know that this is a lot easier said than done.

Unfortunately there are plentiful myths and legends around about how to keep the weight loss. Some you may not realise are myths, because, like old wives tales, many of them have a a couple of grains of truth there and those few grains of truth keep them alive. Let’s kill a few of those myths!

1 — Skipping Breakfast Will Help You keep The weight loss.

No it won’t! There are many benefits to eating breakfast; the principal one is that it kickstarts your metabolism after sleeping. You are also less likely to have high fat or sugar snacks before your noon meal (if you were going to refuse all of these snacks then you probably wouldn’t have a weight problem in the beginning). Another powerful reason not to miss breakfast is that if you do your body will get the energy needs from your muscles rather than from fat.

2 — Eating A Low Carb Diet Will Be Sure To maintain The new weight.

Partly true. If the carbs that you stop eating are things like sugar then, yes that’s a great idea to maintain the weight off. But there are a lot more cabs than just sugar. Wholemeal bread is a source of carbohydrate and for most of us this is an prime food (it’s plainly not a good source of food for individuals with wheat allergies!) Your body needs carbohydrates, for energy and building muscles merely cutting out a whole food group could easily damage your health rather than help it.

3 — As Long As You work out You Can Eat What You Want.

Not true. Whilst it is true that a lot of working out means that you can eat a little more, if you want to stay healthy than that little more you eat needs to be things like vegetables fruits and lean meats. Eating the inappropriate things can affect your health as well as your weight. If you are exercising a lot then you need to put good quality fuel into your body so that you feel better rather than worse.

4 — You Need To Stay On A Low Cal Diet So That You Don’t Gain The Weight Back.

Partly true. If you have gained weight then you’ve evidently done it by eating more fod than your should! So you can’t return to the same ways of eating that made you to increase weight if you’re hoping for the weight to stay off. But weight losses aren’t just about numbers on scales it’s also about how you feel, so if you want to look skinny you need to eat the right things, and enough of it.

It would be easy to proceed on with a great deal more myths that demand to be burst. Losing weight, keeping it off and remaining healthy isn’t rocket science. And if you really want to do it, it is easy once you set your mind to it.

Whilst many people may be looking for a quick fix, there really is only one way to lose weight and maintain it off permanently. You need to , eat healthy foods, and use self-command.
